Charles Meyer, 20 years of age, living with his half brother, Fred Baumgarten, was taken suddenly ill on Sunday, December 2. His cries from pain were heard by the neighbors. Dr. Skiff, Hulburt and Kordenat were summoned, who rendered all assistance medical skill could give, but all to no avail. He died Thursday and was buried on Sunday. A large number of friends were present to attend the funeral obsequies. He was well and favorably known and commanded the respect of all who knew him. Cause of death was a strangulated hernia.
