Erby Daniel was the s/o Jerimiah Daniel and Susannah Self. It is not certain, but Erby may have been born in Carroll County, Arkansas right after his parents had come to the state from Shelby County, Illinois.
Through research, there has been nothing found to indicate that Erby ever married nor had any children.
NOTE: As per Jessica Taylor Parker via e-mail February 2, 2011, Erby Daniel had a relationship with Nancy Richardson and they had two children together...Dora and Samuel. Samuel married 1st. Martha Snow and 2nd Canzada Taylor. There is no known information regarding Dora.
Erby volunteered on the Union side during the Civil War. He was with Co. K., 1st Regiment, Arkansas Infantry.

Erby did indeed father a child with Nancy Richardson. Sam Daniels.
He didn’t however father a daughter with her. She had Dora by a man named Harris.
Sam & Dora are my great uncle & aunt, half siblings to my paternal grpa Will Vaughn. Please update the info on Erby’s FaG memorial page.
Also, do you have any other info on Erby’s siblings? A granddaughter of Sam’s and I are pretty sure that he was a brother to Phoebe Daniels Richardson, but to date have had no luck in finding a connection.
