Harold Joseph Allen was born and reared in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from East Side High School and it appears he went to the University of Colorado in Boulder. He may have been a civil engineer who worked water projects all over the western U. S.
The photo is his signature from his high school math book entitled "Higher Algebra" by Herbert Hawkes (published in 1905). He signed it in about 1917. This book was passed on to my grandfather, Harold Sare.
