Major League Baseball Player. Born in Duluth, Minnesota, he was an outfielder making his debut for the Chicago White Sox on April 14, 1925. For four seasons, he played with the Chicago White Sox (1925-26), Washington Senators (1929) and Philadelphia Athletics (1930). He ended his Major League career with a record of 94 hits, 53 runs scored, 3 homeruns, 46 runs batted in and a .249 batting average. He also holds the Minor League's record of 3617 hits and a .318 batting average. He died at age 81 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
