Mrs. Hulda S. Moxley, 65, 941 Laramie Street, widow of John C. Moxley, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Atchison hospital where she had been a patient a week.

Her husband, who died July 26, was assistant postmaster of Atchison. Mrs. Moxley was a resident of Atchison 39 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Trinity Lutheran church. The body will be at the Sawin & Dyer funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon cemetery.

Until her health began to fail 10 years ago, Mrs. Moxley was a teacher at the Kansas Children's Receiving Home.

A daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Kloepper Niemann, Mrs. Moxley was born on the family farm near Nortonville, Aug. 4, 1899.

Mrs. Moxley attended the Nortonville public schools, Colorado State Teachers college at Greeley, and Mount St. Scholastica college.

She was married to John C. Moxley Aug. 16, 1925, at St. Matthew's Lutheran church, Nortonville.

She taught a total of 21 years, 13 at the Kansas Children's Receiving Home, where she was principal about 10 years. She also taught in the Lancaster and Harmony Garden schools, and in other schools.

Mrs. Moxley was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma honorary teachers' sorority and the Kansas State Teachers association.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and the Business & Professional Women's club. She was also a member of various church groups and was a worker and supporter of church activities.

Pleasant, gracious and a person of natural dignity, Mrs. Moxley centered her interest on her home and family. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her christian faith and attitude was reflected by her patience and fortitude during a long illness, and by her consideration of others.

She leaves her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Niemann, Nortonville; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald P. (Mary Jo) Rahatz, Prairie Village, a son John David Moxley, Oakland, Calif., a CPA with a public accounting firm; a sister, Mrs. Lena Nittler, Greeley, Colo.; four brothers, H. W. Niemann and Edward Niemann, sr., Nortonville, Elvin Niemann, Topeka and the Rev. C.C. Niemann, Independence, Kans., and two grandchildren, John and Martha Moxley, Oakland.
