THOMAS, eldest known child of Gov. Thomas Dudley by his 1st wife, was born say 1605; matriculated Emmanuel College, Cambridge Easter 1624, A.B. January 1626/7, A.M. April 1630; sailed to New England with his father; no further record.

Please note, there has been speculation for some time that a Thomas Dudley, who received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1626 and a Master of Arts in 1630 at Cambridge University in England, was the son of Governor Thomas Dudley and his wife Dorothy Yorke Dudley. It is widely published in historical and genealogical registers that there is no evidence to date of this connection. Please see below bibliography.**]
