Professional Football Player. For nine seasons (1988 to 1996), he played at the offensive-guard position in the National Football League with Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers and New York Jets. He attended Clarksville High School (Tennessee), and played collegiate football at the University of Tennessee. While with the Vols, he earned All-American status and was recipient of the Jacobs Award as the SEC's best blocker. He was selected by Miami during the 8th round of the 1988 NFL Draft, and appeared in 141 career games, earning All-Rookie Team status in his first season. Following his playing career, Galbreath served as a college football assistant coach at Austin-Peay, Tennessee State and Hampton. He served for two years from 2007 to 2009, on the University of Tennessee's strength and conditioning staff. He died from a heart ailment at age 45.
