Evelyn B. DaFoe of Swartz Creek, Michigan, age 80, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Avalon Hospice.

Evelyn Dorris was born in Flint, Michigan on November 7, 1929, the daughter of George Dorris and Grace (James) Dorris. She married Alfred DaFoe on July 1, 1950, who preceded her in death in April 7, 1999.

She was Past President of the Women's Auxiliary, VFW Post #5666; member of the Swartz Creek Senior Center and a member of the Carman-Ainsworth Senior Center. She loved doing crafts and spending time with family and playing Bingo. Evelyn loved talking about her grandchildren.

Surviving were children, Kristie Lee DaFoe, June (Gary) Stefanko, Edward (Judy) DaFoe and Robert (Sandy) DeFoe; grandchildren, Wendi (Jim) Fournier, Robert (Elizabeth) Stefanko, Michael (Katie) Stefanko, Sara (David) Baldwin, Lisa DaFoe and Kristie Lynn DaFoe; great-grandchildren, Dylan Baughman, John Stefanko, Miranda Stefanko, Logan Fournier, Heather Stefanko, Jaxon Fournier and Leah Stefanko; brother, Orville Dorris; sister and brother-in-law, Gwendolyn and Jim Jones; sisters-in-law, Joanne O'Kelley and Rebecca DaFoe; loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, George and Grace Dorris; husband, Alfred E. DaFoe and brother-in-law, James H. DaFoe.
