"NANNY"
She was the daughter of Johann Frederick Hanselmann and Kathrine Barbara Klenk, born in Saint Morgan Illinois on the family farm. She married George Nicholas Kuntz (b. 1889) in East St Louis Illinois on Feb 12, 1912. They had four children, George N born 1914, Jean Audrey (Kuntz) Smith, and two who died at birth and are buried with her in this plot. She made the best chicken and dumplings and pickeled pigs feet I have ever eaten. Sometime about in her late 60's, she had a leg removed due to diabetes. Her grandson Dickie used to lovingly tease her that he was going to hammer nails in her wooden leg. During the Depression she opened a restaurant which catered to the working class at 3817 North Broadway in Saint Louis. They lived upstairs at the cafe and rented their house in order to keep it. She loved to play cards. Canasta being her favorite. Boy, those were the loudest card games I ever heard!
Beautiful words have yet to be spoken to describe this lovely woman. She is loved beyond words to this day.
