Mrs. Mary N. Seifert, 74, of 1913 Sunset Ave., widow of Albert C. Seifert and a well known area golfer, died Wednesday in the Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville. She was born in Utica, a daughter of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Barns Newell. She attended local schools. She was associated with her husband in the operation for the former Seifert Brothers Wholesale Tobacco Company for many years until her retirement in 1948. She was married to Mr. Seifert In 1911 In Utica. He died in 1947. She had participated in several state golf tournaments. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes` Church, the Yahnundasis Golf Club and the Teugega Golf Club of Rome. She leaves a nephew,- Arthur A. Newell Sr., Whitesboro, and three neices, Miss Mary Lourdes Newell, Utica; Mrs. Dorothy Stratton, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Mrs. Marie Whitman. Rome
