She is survived by her husband: Clarence; and son Robert Hafen Moss (Roberta) of Salt Lake City; daughter: Carol Rose Shannon (Sam) of Las Vegas; David Adolph Moss (Janiel) of Santa Clara, Utah: son: Michael Paul Moss (Jeanine); and daughter: Ruth Ann Basile (Don) of St. George, Utah. She and Clarence have 32 Grandchildren: and 32 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother: Arlo John Hafen; and three sisters: Ethel McArthur, Melba Kessler; and Lilly Mae Snow.
She served as organist and pianist in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over 60 years. She also served as a member of the Relief Society Presidency, a teacher in all organizations, and also organist in every church organization. She served with her husband, Clarence, on a Church Mission in Australia. Olive taught piano lesson to many people.
Few homes in Santa Clara do not have doilies or other handwork which she made and gave away to friends and neighbors. She made quilts for every grandchild, as wedding gifts, and for many of her great grandchildren. She could not stand to be idle, always keeping her hands busy with knitting, crocheting, or other handwork. She loved her garden, and even in her declining years spent much time gardening.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 5, 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Clara 1st Ward Chapel (Valley Chapel) in Santa Clara. Friends may call Sunday evening 7:00-9:30 at the Metcalf Mortuary and Monday 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Internment will be in the Santa Clara Cemetery in the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
