Albert A. LeFever, 71, director of the Huguenot National Bank of New Paltz, died unexpectedly at his home on North Chestnut St. Friday morning.
A native of New Paltz, Mr. LeFever had always resided here. He was the son of the late Jacob and Catherine Woolsey LeFever, his father having been a former congressman and assemblyman.
Mr. LeFever was a brother of the late Mrs. J. Wilson Poucher of Poughkeepsie. Surviving are a son Albert J. LeFever of Mobile, Ala., and three grandchildren.
Services were held at the residence, 19 North Chestnut St., at 2 o'clock Sunday. The Rev. Gerret J. Wullschleger, minister of the Reformed Church, officiated. Burial was in the New Paltz Rural cemetery, under the direction of the Pine Funeral Home.
