Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran church in Fergus Falls with Rev. John Westby officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove.
He was born Dec. 16, 1905 in Tumuli Township to Christ and Martha Aune. He was baptized and confirmed at Tordenskjold Lutheran Church rural Dalton and later became a member of First Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls.
On Nov 3,1932 he married Caroline Homes in Sisseton, S.D. He had a trucking business in Fergus Falls until 1944 when they moved to California. In 1945, he returned to Fergus Falls and was employed by Elk River Concrete Products and Raymond Brothers Trucking. He was transferred to Mauston, Wis in 1955 residing there for 15 years. He then was transferred to Minneapolis and lived there until his retirement in 1970. In 1973 they moved to Elizabeth, where he had since resided. He recently worked for the Fergus Journal Company as a newspaper dispatcher.
Survivors include his wife in Elizabeth; two daughters, Mrs. Elder (Phyllis) Haugen of Fergus Falls and Mrs. Donald (Colleen) Fesenfeld of Farmington; two sons, James C. of Waterford, Wis., andmClarence R. Jr. of Minneapolis; one brother, Otto of San Jose, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held all day Friday until 9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until noon at Glende-Johnson-Nelson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and one hour prior to service at the church.
