Funeral services for Charles Carr Jr., 68, of Cookeville and formerly of Woodcliff Community will be held Wednesday, May 16, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey. Burial will be in Woodcliff Cemetery.

Family will receive friends today, Tuesday, May 15, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Carr died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 5, 1938, in Woodcliff Community to the late Arthur (Radio) and Dorlie Grant Carr.

Mr. Carr was a logger, an avid horseman and Baptist in faith.

His family includes his wife, Reba Ledbetter Claborn of Albany, Ky.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Glenda King Hassler of Truman, Ark., Tonya and Rocky Matlock of Cookeville and Samantha and Brent Bush of Baxter; three sons, Matthew Carr of Bloomington Springs and Christopher and Joseph Carr, both Plymouth, Mich.; his sister, Jewel Trance of Crossville; his brother, Clarence Carr of Cookeville; six stepdaughters; a stepson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Chris Walker of Woodcliff Community.

Mr. Carr was preceded in death by two stepsons.
