Eighty-two-year-old Charley Francis of Route 1, Fredericktown, died on Monday, October 30, 1989, in his home.

Funeral services were held on November 3 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Revelle Cemetery. Clyde Bess was the officiating minister.

Pallbearers were Bob Francis, Donal Jordan, Fred Francis, Bill Francis, Ray Matthews, and Jesse Francis.

Mr. Francis was born February 28, 1907, in Fredericktown to the late William "Billy" and Dovie King Francis.

He married Ethel Lunferd in Fredericktown on April 25, 1932. She survives.

Other surviving relatives are four brothers, Lloyd Francis and Robert Francis, both of Viburnum, Lige Francis of Fredericktown, and Henry Francis of Valley Lake; two sisters, Ollie Walker of DeSoto and Ruby Matthews of Fredericktown; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Others preceding Mr. Francis in death were Freddie Francis and Barney Francis, brothers; Chester Francis, half-brother; Lillie Pulliam and Opal Jordan, sisters; and Millie Arnett Francis, stepmother.

Mr. Francis was associated with the General Baptist Church.
