Jack C. Ott, 69, of Bourbonnais, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee. He was born September 6, 1940, in Bradley, the son of Harold and Mary Carmon Ott. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years.

Jack Ott was a service manager for Roy Lang Oldsmobile. He then worked for Leo Kilbride as an insurance adjuster and later purchased the business. He retired in 2005. He was a member and past president of the Independent National Adjusters Association and was thecurrent treasurer of the Turnberry Subdivision Homeowners Association.

He was a fisherman and enjoyed working in the yard, especially flower gardening.

Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Brais, of Bourbonnais, whom he married Oct. 27, 1973; one son [Jim] Dawn Brewer, of Bourbonnais; three grandchildren, Rachel and Christopher Marnell, of Bourbonnais, Sara Lewis of Seattle, Washington, and Jessica Brewer of Bourbonnais; one great-grandson, Ryan Marnell of Bourbonnais; one sister, Carmen Gries of Chillicothe; one brother and four sisters-in-law, Terry and Barbara Ott, of Brea, Calif., Constance Pusateri of Beecher, Rose Greenhillof Manteno, and Lolita Broski of Bourbonnais; and many nieces and nephews, including Ryan Ott, Stacie Ott, James Ramseyer, Brian Ramseyer and Melissa Wilson; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Douglas Brewer.
