Mrs. Julia Chavous Duncan died Thursday, June 19, 1930, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Dr. S. A. Ware, at the age of 78 years. Survived by three children, Mrs. Clara Ware, city; Otis B. Duncan, Chicago, and Miss Addie Duncan, Chicago; a son-in-law, Dr. S. A. Ware, city, and a niece, Mrs. Julia Campbell, Indianapolis, Ind.; also a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Julia Duncan, 73, a granddaughter of William De Florville, who settled in Sangamon county over one hundred years ago, died last night at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. S. A. Ware. She is survived by another daughter, Miss Addie Duncan, and a son, Otis B. Duncan, both of Chicago.

Per death certificate, she was the daughter of Molon Chavous and Alseen Florville; wife of Clark Duncan. There are various biographies and other family obituaries with spellings of her maiden name as Chaverous, Chavious.
