Body discovered in November 2008, determined to have died sometime in the late 1970's.
The daughter of Frank Adolph Bernstorff, PhD., Professor Emeritus of the German Department of Northwestern University and Lilian Clara Bergold Bernstorff, PhD., educator and author of "Abraham Lincoln Centennial", published in 1908 and still in print. Sister of Anita, Margaret and Frank, all unmarried. The bodies of the brother and two sisters were discovered in the family home in November 2008. As each sibling died the surviving siblings continued to live in the home with the dead bodies. The last surviving sister was discovered in November 2008 at age 90 and removed to an elderly care facility. The brother and sisters were determined to have died of natural causes over a 25-30 year period.
