Professional Baseball Player, Clown. He was a journeyman pitcher for the Washington Senators for three seasons. After his retirement as a player, he barnstormed doing a comic act at ballparks and was fondly known as the "Clown Prince of Baseball." In the 1940-50s he owned a popular restaurant that bore his name in New York City.
