J. R. Palmer received the sad news last evening of the death of his brother, W. E. Palmer, which occurred last night at Farnam, Neb., as the result of accidental drowning. No particulars concerning the accident were received at this time. The deceased was a former resident of this city, having conducted the North side feed store, leaving this city about two years ago for Farnam, where he has since resided. He was about 62 years of age and was married. Mr. Palmer and family left today for Farnam to be in attendance at the funeral.

Obituary
William E. Palmer was born near Shelbyville, Ind., on December 19, 1851, and died on March 10, 1919, as the result of accidental drowning, at the age of 68 years. When a small child he moved with his parents to Illinois. After a few years in the state they moved to Missouri, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Marget Herndon. To this union there were born ten children, eight of whom survive the father, they being: B. I. Palmer, of Pomona, Mo.; W. H. Palmer, R. M. Palmer, A. C. Palmer, Mrs. M. Callihan, of Humphreys, Mo., and Mrs. S. E. Lintz, Mrs. S. A. Reckard and Mrs. Elva Roberts, all of this state.
