US Congressman. Elected to represent Connecticut's 4th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1857 to 1859. The President of the Naugatuck Railroad Compnay and the New York and New Haven Railroad Company, he also served as a member of the Connecticut State House in 1872, and in the Connecticut State Senate from 1866 to 1874, and from 1877 to 1878.
