Baby Orson died at ten days old. His mother, Emelia died five days prior on 15 Oct 1863. Information on Orson Larsen seemed to be long lost. However, research by Robert C. Larsen found information on Orson Larsen on the Ephraim Ward records, Microfilm number 20435. It is believed that Orson was named after the LDS Apostle Orson Hyde, a friend of Oluf Christian Larsen. Both Orson and his mother, Emelia, share a grave in the Ephraim Pioneer Cemetery as detailed in Oluf Christian Larsen's journal. The exact location is unknown and the sexton's records do not have either of these graves recorded.
