Pearl J. Webb McMahan, 98, left her earthly home in Corpus Christi on September 11, 2010 to join her heavenly family.

She was born on March 13, 1912 in Douglas, Arizona. She married the love of her life, James Henry McMahan, and they lived happily together for 62 years. They worked side by side in their plumbing business. They loved to travel and experienced many beautiful places around the world.

She was a loving, caring person who would go out of her way to help others. She was a member of Second Baptist Church for 73 years where she loved teaching Sunday School and being involved in the Women's Missionary Union. She also served on the Board of Directors at Zephyr Baptist Encampment for many years. She loved roses, and was a member of the Rose Society. She later enjoyed painting roses on porcelain china and being part of the Porcelain Art Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Effie Pearl Webb and Chester Howard Webb, husband Henry, brothers Howard, Chester, and Daniel Webb, sister Gladys Ledbetter, and son in law G.R. (Spike) McGuire.

Pearl is survived by her daughter, Jeanene McGuire, sisters Miriam Pavlicek, Edith Gregorczyk, grandchildren, Kathie Whitehead (Russell), Melodie Wallace (Tom), Jim Bob McGuire (Sheryl) and Rene Chase; 7 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Our sincere thanks go to the staff at Garden Estates, The Palms, and Blue Sky Hospice for all their care and support during 'Me'Ma's final years.
