Rev. William Lester Karns was the son of Ira and Luretta Elizabeth (McCoy) Karns. He was the husband of Frances Shirley (Clapper) Karns. They were married Fort McClellan, Alabama August 17, 1946 and Frances died September 15, 2012. Rev. Karns was a minister in the Central Pennsylvania Conference and Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church. He served Clearville, Bedford Co., Pennsylvania 1954-1956 - Austin, Potter Co., Pennsylvania 1957-1958 - Derrick City, McKean Co., Pennsylvania and Limestone, Cattaraugus Co., Olean District, New York 1959-1961. He was located in 1962. He served in the US Army during World War II - June 13, 1946-June 9, 1949.
