Lieut. H. C. Lybolt's
Funeral Services
At Tunkhannock
Military funeral services for Lieut. Harlow C. Lybolt, 21, son of Mrs. Edward Newkirk of 102 Court Street, who died in a military hospital at Altus, Okla. a week ago today, were held at Tunkhannock, Pa. Thursday with Lieut. Lawrence Boyll, Chaplain at the Aldus Air Field, officiating.
Lieutenant Boyll accompanied the body to Tunkhannock after military services were conducted at Altus Field Monday. Lieutenant Lybolt was injured at the air base and died of pneumonia last Saturday two hours before his mother arrived from Binghamton.
Assisting In the services were the Tunkhannock American Legion Post and officers from the Scranton Air Field.
Lieutenant Lybolt was a flight Instructor at the time of his death.
Surviving besides his mother and stepfather is his father, Raymond Lybolt of Port Jervis; one sister, Miss Elizabeth Lybolt of Binghamton; three brothers, William D. Lybolt of Williamsport, Pa., Raymond V. Lybolt of Tunkhannock, and Corp. Arden F. Lybolt, who is with the Army Air Force in Italy; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hawk of Binghamton.
