Mrs Grace Babb Turner, 76, was found ill at her home in Cowden about 5 p.m. yesterday and died later that evening at 8:55 p.m. at Shelby County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Stumpf Funeral Home in Pana. Burial will be in McCoy cemetery south of Tower Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs Turner was born January 25, 1892 in Cold Spring Township, the daughter of Charley and Mary Halbrook Hinton. She was married to Silas Babb on May 6, 1907. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1928. She married Berry Ellis Turner on January 21, 1933. He died on December 8, 1942.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Veda Armstrong of Beecher City, and two sons, Fred Babb of Decatur and Wilbur Babb of Tower Hill. She also leaves two step-daughters, Mrs Edna Castiglia of Chicago and Mrs Maude Mancusco of Springfield; and three step-sons, Ellis Turner of California, and Thad Turner and Glenn Turner, both of Chicago.
She leaves nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Nettie McConnell of Cowden and a step-sister, Mrs Mary Walters of Rockford.
