Obituary:

Death of Former Resident
Occurs at Isle of Pines
"The Dansville Express", N.Y., July 1927

"Monday morning L.L. Johnson of this village received a telegram announcing the death of his brother, Edwin A. Johnson, of the Isle of Pines, West Indies.

"Mr. Johnson spent his early life in West Sparta, later going to Michigan. He was a carpenter by trade, and after going west he worked at his trade for a number of years, later buying a farm and for some time was very successfully engaged in farming. Later tiring of farming and wishing to retire from active work he bought a small fruit farm on the Isle of Pines and for the past fifteen years has been in the south. He made the trip back and forth a number of times, being here for the last time two years ago.

"In 1880 Mr. Johnson was married to Miss Ella Moseley of West Dryden, N.Y. who survives, with two sons, Moseley and Ora Johnson of Toledo, Ohio, and one daughter, Mrs. [Minnie nee Johnson] J.C. Warner of Williamston, Michigan, and a brother, L.L. Johnson and a sister, Mrs L. A. Hartman, both of this village, and several nephews and nieces."
