Parents were Charles F. Baumlin (b. Germany) and Mary (Durant) Baumlin(b. MA). Mary's husband William Bruce Mumford was executed at New Orleans June 7, 1862 for taking down the U.S. flag before surrendering the city of New Orleans to Admiral Farragut.( Damn The Torpedos, Full Speed Ahead)
