Hannah Brown was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to Nora Gilliam and Ambrose Cully. She was the oldest of 13 children. She and her sister Zara Cully were the eldest, and spent a lot of their time working for the well known Higgens family in Worcester. Hannah along with her siblings were all musically and artistically talented. Hannah was a Jazz pianist and played in Massachusetts, New York and in Florida. She died young with no children. She and her sister Zara both married "Brown" brothers. After Hannah died, "Unkie" lived with Hannah's younger sister Agnes Cully Peters and neice Betty Peters.
