Centreville, Dec 21 - Mrs Electa Ludden, mother of Mrs J W Buell, of Five Corners, died Dec 15, at the home of her daughter, Mrs Lewis Pierce, near Spartansburg. Electa Benjamin was born in New York city Aug 1, 1810. Eighteen years later she married Joseph Ludden, who departed this life in 1886. The subject of this sketch was the mother of four sons and as many daughters. They are H P Ludden of Chicago; Henry L, of Portville, NY; Amos, of Concord Corners, Erie county; Charles, of Hinsdale, NY; Mrs J W Buell, of Steuben township, and Mrs Moses Blakeslee, Mrs Lewis Pierce and Mrs Walter Fralick, of Concord Corners. Deceased died of cancer, after a long period of illness, aged 80 years. She was a Christian lady and an affectionate mother."
