Georgia Mae Harman-Shafer, 81, passed away October 25, 2010. She was born October 29, 1928 in Crescent, OK to Lela and Arthur Fillmore.
Georgia, "Georgie" "Gee Gee", was first married to Gerald Harman on March 1, 1947 and lived in Crescent before moving to Mulhall, OK. Georgie worked at the telephone office in Crescent before she opened a beauty shop in Mulhall. Georgie also was an employee of Ditch Witch where she retired in 1988. Georgie found the love of her life and companion Max Shafer and married October 16, 1993 and lived in Mulhall where they became loyal memberes of the United Methodist Church. Georgie loved gardening, crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Georgie's tender loving care, smiles, and laughter will be missed by all who knew her.
Georgie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald Harman, son Roger Harman, and brother Raymond Fillmore
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Max, of the home; two children Don Harman and wife Sharon of Irving, TX and Chris Harman and wife Randus of Mulhall; sister Nadene Daves of Guthrie, OK; sister-in-law Patty Fillmore of Guthrie; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many loved family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Mulhall with Pastor Adrian Pollard officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be Thursday, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
