Inscription
Lieut James Butler
died Nov 19 1801
Aged 48 years
Though after my skin worms distroy
this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God
Note: This is from the King James Bible, Job 19:26 and seems to be a rather common headstone inscription. The spelling of 'distroy' may have been contemporary or just an error.
