Oldest son of John Edgar and Nora Bell Golden Lewis. Beloved brother of Alton, Daisy, Hazel and Freda. Husband of Lucille Dugan [married circa 1925 in McCurtain Co., OK] and father of Francis Earline Lewis who died at 15 from injuries sustained in a tragic car wreck.

Earl Lee [sic Middle name Edgar, after his father] Lewis, 64, Idabel, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, September 10, in the McCurtain Memorial hospital.
Born July 7, 1906, in Louisiana, he had lived in Idabel for one year, moving from Klickitat, Wash. He was a retured machinist and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Nora Lewis of Jena, La.; one brother, Alton Lewis of California; and three sisters, Mrs. David L. Wauhop [sic Daisy, wife of John Wauhop] of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Hazel Bain [sic Bean] of California and Mrs. Fred Lee Peppus of Jena [sic Freda "Freddie" Lea Peppers]
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, September 12, in the Idabel Norwood-Welch Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements and burial in the Denison cemetery are under the direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
