Emma J. (Tindley) Horner was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Charles Albert and Daisy (Henry) Tindley. She had a most unusual and versatile voice and became a concert singer. For many years she traveled the United States giving concerts. Emma was an intimate acquaintance of Marion Anderson. Emma was the wife of Rev. William Henry Horner. They were married August 11, 1925.Rev. Horner was a minister in the Delaware Conference/Genesee Conference and Western Pennsylvania Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church/The Methodist Church/United Methodist Church. He died February 10, 1987.
