Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Spencer Funeral Home in Belpre, O., for Charles O. Ahart, 88, Belpre, who died in Camden-Clark Hospital, Sunday, Feb. 28. He was born in Wirt County Sept. 9, 1876, son of the late John and Elizabeth Newhouse Ahart, and was a member of the First Methodist Church in Belpre. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rowena Ahart; three sons, Herman Ahart, Athens, O., Okey Ahart of Coolville, and Marvin Ahart of Belpre; four daughters, Mrs. E.L. Brown, Belpre, Mrs. Roy Stephens, Waverly, Mrs. O.G. Varner and Mrs. Hazel Elifritz, Belpre; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Gabbert, Slate, and Mrs. Maude Errington, Akron; and one brother, Linzy Ahart, Nicholette. Burial was in Rockland Cemetery.
