Per Buz Johnson, The gravestone is in error, it is spelled Moorman. The Johnson's and Moorman's inter married many times and were very close. Both families were Quakers and lived in close proximity. It appears the engraver was running out of room, and heck he's dead anyway, maybe no one will notice there's one O missing.
