Martin A. Bicek, 849 Mc- Clure Ave., Sharon, died at
2:05 p.m. Friday (11-4-05) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System of natural causes. He was 84.

Marty was born July 7, 1921, in Farrell, to Anton and
Mary Turk Bicek. He was retired from the former GATX Corp., Masury, where he worked as a welder. Marty was a member of the Slovenian Home, Sharon. He was an avid fan of Farrell and Sharon high school football. He served with the Sharon auxiliary police at Sharon High School games.
He was a 1940 graduate of Farrell High School and belonged
to St. Joseph Church, Sharon.

He married the former Irene Lucas on Nov. 30, 1985.
He previously married the former Emma F. Sabol on
Aug. 26, 1944. She died May 26, 1978.

He is survived by: his wife, Irene; a son, Richard Bicek,
husband of Julie, Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Paula Edelen, wife of Robert, Las Vegas; and Mary Ann Farmartino,
wife of John, Sharon; two stepsons, David Lucas, husband
of Shirley, Summerville, S.C.; and Mark Lucas, husband
of Debbie, Hubbard; and a stepdaughter, Noreen Muha,
wife of Robert, Rock Hill, S.C. Marty is also survived by
four grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren and five great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: three brothers, William
Bicek, Anthony Bicek and Frank Bicek; and five sisters,
Mary Vodenichar, Anne Cimperman, Frances O'Dell, Margaret
Naydusak and Agnes Parcetich.
