POLLARD, Jerome Bonaparte was born June 8, 1836 in Hubbardton, Rutland County, Vermont the son of Jonathan and Margaret Pollard. He married Sarah H. Stewart September 7, 1857 in St. Clair County, Michigan and they had a daughter, Mabel (David Elliot Sasseen). He was a Civil War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy as a Quartermaster on the U.S.S. Queen City, and the U.S.S. Clara Dolsen. He was employed as a wholesale grocery salesman and was a partner in Pollard, Doane and Co., a wholesale grocery company in Chicago. He was raised a Master Mason May 10, 1859. He died April 29, 1908 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and was buried in the Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois.
