Elise Dorothea Katherine Schulze, nee Meyer, was born June 25, 1870 in the Town of Westfield, daughter of Heinrich and Wilhelmina nee Estorf Meyer. She leaves to mourn one son Henry and a daughter, Esther. Her husband preceded her in death, May 24, 1941. She was baptized by Rev. Karl Kessler and confirmed April 20, 1884 by Rev. Herman Brueckner in Zion's Lutheran church in Westfield; was married June 9, 1898, to Henry Schulze in St. John's Lutheran Church, Loganville, by Rev, W. C. Schilling. She was preceded by her mother in 1881 and her father in 1885 and by 7 brothers and 4 sisters. She lived all her life in Westfield except 1 year in the Town of Baraboo and 8 years in Chicago and 2 years in Ableman. She passed away October 28. Funeral services were at St. John's Lutheran church at Rock Springs, October 31st. Burial was at St. John's cemetery in Westfield.
