Benjamin F. Towery was born May 7, 1836, and died at his home in Piney, March 3, 1910.

A wife and nine children survive him, J.P Towery of Silverton, Ore., Mrs. J.P. Tucker, of Amily, Ore., H.B. Towery, of Pioneer, Calif., S.A. Towery, of Marion, Ill., W.G. Towery, of Temple, Okla., Mrs. G.R. Little and Frank Towery, of Providence, Ky., and Missess Mary and Maggie Towery.

His last sickness was only a few days in duration. His funeral was preached by Rev. J.F. Bumpus after which his remains were laid to rest in the family graveyard.

Besides wife and children, the deceased leaves three brothers, E. Towery and Judge Aaron Towery of Crittenden Co. and George Towery, of Dixon, Ky., and two sisters, Mrs. E.A. Jenkins, of Madisonville, and Mrs. Johnson, of Piney.
