Born November 15, 1945, she died after complications due to brain surgery on December 7, 2010. Gale was a beautiful, energetic, and brilliant woman.

She was born in San Francisco to Grace and the late Bob Stevens (Hall of Fame sportswriter for the San Francisco Chronicle). Gale is the sister of the late Shirley Horton whom she loved dearly.

Gale graduated from Capuchino High School in 1963. During her high school years, she met and fell in love with Salvatore Bologna a graduate of Balboa High School. They were married in 1965 at Saints Peter and Paul church in San Francisco. Sal and Gale were married for over forty-five years and raised two children, Lisa and Steven.

An excellent mother, Gale remained a homemaker for numerous years, before going to work for Net Equity Associates. During her mid 50's, she passed the Series 7 Exam, an accomplishment that she was extremely proud of. Gale was an avid reader but spending time with her family was her most important activity. You always knew when Gale was around because her laugh was not only contagious but incomparable.
