Alzina Yancey Kauk, 88, Wishek, N.D., died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Wishek Home for the Aged, Wishek.

Alzina Yancey was born Oct. 26, 1922, at Blackfoot, Idaho. She attended the local school and graduated from Blackfoot High School. She moved to San Francisco, Calif., where she worked in No. 3 shipyard as a time keeper for many years. She married Albert Kauk at Reno, Nev. They lived in Richman, Calif., where she worked for the Mary Ellen Jam Company. They moved to Streeter, N.D., in 1966. She enjoyed making candy, baking and canning.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Scott Schue and Terry Poling; a brother; two sisters; and several grandchildren.

Graveside service: 1 p.m. Thursday, North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, N.D., with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating. Arrangements by Haut Funeral Homes, Jamestown.
