Russian noble man, awarded his title for his singing talent (baritone). He was the first director of the Court Choir (Kapella).
He was married twice: first - to a merchant daughter Shemyakina; after her death - to Agafokleya Alexandrovna Shishkova (10.07.1737-24.10.1822), who bore him 22 children.
He was a Russian Imperial singer (baritone) of Ukrainian Cossack descent and an Active State Councillor of Russia. He is the founder of the Russian noble family of Poltoratsky.
