EMMET--Hershel "Hersie" M. Jones, 78, of Emmet, died Thursday, December 23, 2010, in Hope.
Mrs. Jones was born November 16, 1932 in Bodcaw to Otto and Bertha Loe Mattison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Jones; one brother, Elvin Mattison; and her mother and father.
She is survived by one nephew, Ricky Mattison; of Hope; three nieces, Teresa Kemper, of Bodcaw, Vanassa Formby, of Patmos, Carolyn Lough, of Hope, and Debbie Oliver, of Hope. Visitation was held Sunday, December 26, at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home in Hope.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 27, at 11 a.m. in the Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home chapel, with David Formby officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery in Bodcaw.
