Newport - Hazel Huntington Palmer 102 died Nov. 14, 2003 at a Pittsfield health care facility following a long illness. She was born in Kenduskeag, Me. Aug. 29,1901 the daughter of Albert and Josephine (Lord) Duran. She was educated in schools of Dover-Foxcroft. Hazel was married to Henry Huntington who died in 1962 and to Manley Palmer who died in 1981. She was a former member of Central Grange in Dover-Foxcroft, Past President of the Glenburn P.T.A., a charter member of Naome Circle of Glenburn and a former chairman of the Ways and Means Committee of the South Brewer P.T. A. Hazel was Newport Oldest Citizen and holder of the Boston Post Gold Cane.

She is survived by two sons Ervin Huntington of Columbus Ga., and Kenneth and Marvis Huntington of Detroit, six grandchildren four great grandchildren, two nieces, and several cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, (Brown Funeral Home on-line)
