publices this week the obituary of Mrs. Herman Zessin, one of the early pioneer mothers of Madison county who died at her home here Sunday, March 20th.
Earnestina Zessin was Born at Manville, Wisconsin, moving to Madison county in the year 1882. She was married to Herman Zessin, then of Green Garden, the same year and to this union were born nine children one of whom, a son died in infancy.
She moved to Madison in 1912 and since that date has made this place her home. Besides eight children, four boys and four girls, Mrs. William Dittberner, Mrs. Henry Boysen, Mrs. Fred Sattler, Bertha Zessin, Albert Zessin, Oscar Zessin, Herman Zessin and William Zessin, she leaves to mourn her death twenty-two grand children. The funeral was held from the Trinity Lutheran church last Wednesday. Rev. Hensick and Rev. **** officiating. Interment was in the Green Garden Cemetery.
Was the Daughter of George and Henrietta Rathel.
