BALONIER, Harry E. age 83 of Miami Township, entered into God's arms quietly in his home Friday, December 17, 2010, with his daughter Kathy at his bedside. He was born on March 6, 1927 in Dayton to Harry and Katherine (Houck) Balonier, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, David E. Balonier. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Ann (Curry) Balonier; children, Kathy Ann Couch of Dayton, Eugena Lee Blankenship of Springboro and Robert E. Balonier of El Paso, Texas; grandchildren, Kimberly Bikenki (Wes) of Florida, John Couch of Portsmouth, Ohio, Allen & Michael Balonier of El Paso, Texas, and Dalton & Beth Ann Blankenship of Springboro; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, William (Bill) Curry of Dayton and Henry Curry & wife Jody of North Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Linda Grierson & husband Walter of Miami Township. Harry was a graduate of Belmont High School, served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Battle of the Bulge at the age of 17, and was retired from Vulcan Tool on April 1, 1992 after 30 years. He and Ruth Ann loved traveling in their motor home all over the country. He enjoyed his grandchildren & great grandchildren, and liked NASCAR. He was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the V.F.W. #3438 in West Carrollton. Friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
