Ralph H. Haines, 92, of R.D. 1, Mount Morris, Pa., died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born Dec. 25, 1906, in Kirby, Pa., son of the late William Lindsey and Bertha Lenora Hickman Haines. He was a mechanic at Arrison and Kennedy Chrysler Plymouth, Mount Morris, and drove a school bus for Charles Bowers. He was a member of Kirby United Methodist Church, where he was a lay leader and former Sunday School superintendent, and attended 68 straight Easter Sunrise Services at Fairall United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Edna Methaney Haines, whom he married Aug. 24, 1938; a son and spouse, Tim and Barbara Haines, of Mount Morris; two grandsons and spouses, Gary and Denise Haines and Doug and Sandy Haines; four great-grandchildren, Mark Haines, Audrey Haines, Bailey Haines and Nathan Haines; and a sister, Edith Haines, of Claysville, Pa. Friends may call at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Mount Morris, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, with the Rev. Joe Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
