YAKIMA - Alma Love Adams, 90, of Yakima, WA died Friday January 28, 2011. Ms. Adams was born on June 28, 1920 in Martin, Mississippi. She graduated from high school and went on to college to get her teaching degree. Upon finishing her degree, she moved to Yakima, WA. She met George Adams and married him in August of 1966. She taught K-6 in the West Valley School District for 30 years. After retiring from the School District she filled her time doing what she enjoyed the most, gardening and her love for cats. She loved to hunt and fish. She spent many weekends with her grandkids fishing and camping at Bumping Lake over the years.

Survivors include: grandson Michael (Allyson) Adams, of Yakima, WA, granddaughters Carol (Tim) Pierce, of Kenmore, WA and Suzy (Nathan) Cliff of Harpers Ferry, WV, step daughter Donna Knight of Dallas, TX and step son Harvey Adams of Protage, MI, 4-g.g. grandsons and 4-g.g. granddaughters and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Alma is preceded in death by her husband the late George E. Adams of 31 years, her parents, George's parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 sons, Richard A. Adams, and Jim Adams.

The Adams family would like to say thank you for all of the support from Memorial Hospice of Yakima, and Harmony House of Yakima for everything you did to make her remaining time here on earth peaceful and content.

Visitation of Alma Love Adams will be Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel (902 W. Yakima Ave.) between the hours of 4 pm and 8 pm. Services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Keith & Keith Terrace Heights Chapel (2807 Terrace Heights Dr.). Burial will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. This will conclude our Memorial Service for Alma Adams, for those who would like; you are welcome to join the family.
