Carrie Ida Davis, 87, 2427 N Street, Bedford , died at 5:05 a.m. today, January 6, 1977, at the Bloomington Hospital , where she was admitted January 1. She was born November 21, 1889 in Washington to Edgar and Charity Jane Carroll Aikman and was married March 14, 1911 to Albert Davis, who preceded her in death on October 17, 1948.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Miss Ruth Davis and Mrs. Mary Alice Abbott, both of Bedford, and Mrs. Amiel (Helen) Miller of New Albany; two grandsons; and one sister, Mrs. James Marshall, Indianapolis . A brother, Hugh, and a son, Edgar, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Oolitic Church of Christ with Bro. L. N. Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery . Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Day& Carter Mortuary.
